Day Retreats

It’s a time to step out of the rush and into the countryside, slow down and tune in to both yourself and the natural world. Suitable for solo visitors and anyone with an interest in meditation, including those who’ve never meditated before. This is a great taster experience and wonderful way to dip your toe into Float by Boat’s unique retreat portfolio.

  • Sunday 2nd April from 9am until 5pm, £48pp

(overnight option arriving between 4-6pm on Saturday 1st April)

  • Saturday 16th September from 9am until 5pm, £48pp

(overnight option staying afterwards and departing between 9-11am Sunday 17th September)

Add an overnight stay: For those who want to extend their day retreat and spend a tranquil evening aboard Spirited Away, including an organic boat-made 3 course dinner, breakfast and an optional extra mindfulness meditation to start or finish the day.

£110pp = £48 day retreat + £67 overnight inc. 3 course evening meal

Our prices are all fully inclusive, so you never have to get your wallet out on a Float by Boat break. They include home-cooked vegetarian meals, plentiful tea and cake, car parking, canal cruising and optional meditation sessions.

A 15% concessionary rate is available for students, seniors and unwaged guests.

There are 6-8 berths, including double and single beds, across 3 cabins, with 2 toilet and shower rooms.  The double, Cabin 3, can be booked for sole occupancy by 1 individual at an additional supplement of £25 per night, subject to availability.

9am – 10am – Arrive, have a look around and get settled in with a cuppa

10am – Welcome and introductions; what to expect from the day, some practicalities and safety advice

10:30am – A lead mindfulness meditation with time for questions and tips

11:15am – Set off on our way pootling along the canals

1pm – Moor up and enjoy a delicious two course boat-made lunch

2 – 3pm – Free time for a wander, chat, or whatever you like

3pm – An afternoon cruise back up to the mooring

5pm – Time to bid farewell and head our separate ways
